The Grey-headed Canary-flycatcher is also popularly known as the Grey-headed Flycatcher and is a winter migratory bird. It is insectivorous and is found in dense forest areas. It gives out sweet and pleasant whistling calls. The Grey-headed Canary-flycatcher was earlier considered to be an “Old World Flycatcher” but now has been placed under “Fairy Flycatchers” (Family: Stenostiridae). Their primary diet is that of insects which they catch by hunting in groups. Sometimes, they may also hunt in pairs.
