Lesser Flamingo is a tall large bird with long neck and small head. It has a pale pink plumage and is the smallest and most common of all flamingo species. Their pink colour comes from the beta carotene they consume as part of their diet. They live in flocks and some flocks are known to contain several thousands. The main difference in the Lesser Flamingo and Greater Flamingo is that Lesser Flamingo has more black in its bill.
