Yellow-wattled Lapwing is endemic to the Indian Subcontinent and is found mostly found in dry plain areas in India. They are found in most parts of India, parts of Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. They are from lapwing family which is a group of medium sized waders. They are also known as Yellow-wattled Plover. They do not migrate but make seasonal movements from one place to another depending on rain.
