Bay-backed Shrike is a member of the bird family Laniidae and a resident throughout South Asia. It is a resident breeder in Pakistan, Afghanistan and India and has been recorded in Sri Lanka too. They have been recorded to extend from Afghanistan and Baluchistan to Western Bengal in India. It is also known as Indian Bay-backed Shrike.
