Purple-rumped Sunbird are endemic to Indian Subcontinent. With reference to their size, they are also known as small Sunbirds. They are found in abundance in Southern parts of India. They are also found in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and now even in some parts of Gujarat. Purple-rumped sunbirds are sexually dimorphic.
